Dear parents

Welcome to the second news letter of this term. Most of you have met the new teachers who would like to thank you for your support and kindness during their first 2 weeks at school. They seem to be settling in very well and have made a big difference already.

Children's day was a great success and enjoyed by both children and teachers alike, there will be a collection of photographs in the reception area in a few days for you to take a look at.

Teacher Candice is now back from South Africa and the Kindergarten is in full swing as usual.

Could we please draw your attention to the start of school time please, classes begin at 8.30 so would you ensure your children are here by that time at the very latest, a little earlier would be better.

Meanwhile, we will keep you updated with any news as it happens.

Soccer practice

Teacher Paul will be holding a soccer skills and practice afternoon at the school on Tuesday evenings.

This is open children aged between 7-10 years. This is open to all children, not only those at our school.

Teacher Paul holds an English F.A. certificate.

The sessions will be held between 4.30-5.30 on Tuesdays and are open to both boys and girls. So if you would like you child to be involved in the sporting and social aspect please let Teacher Paul know as soon as possible.

Parent teacher association

We are going to form a parent teacher association comprising of 5 teachers and five parents. Ideally this will be made up of 2 parents from the kindergarten section and 3 from primary.

The aim is to meet after school once a month for an hour and discuss any ideas that you may have with regard to the children's education and all things school related.

The meetings will be an informal affair with a view to forging closer relations between parent and teacher.

If you feel you can spare the time and would like to be involved please let us know as soon as possible

News from the Kindergarten

As mentioned, Teacher Candice is back and at the helm of the Kindergarten.

We would like to welcome a new addition by the name of Tey who has settled in well and gets on wonderfully with his class-mates.

A big thank you to Noa and his family for bringing in all the fantastic books which will bring a lot of pleasure to all.

Art Class

Teacher Reine has asked if she could have any old colour magazines you may not want for the art department. We use these for many different uses so if you have any please drop them into us.
